In the spring of 2010, the Hermitage Vocal Ensemble a cappella (voices only) consisting of six professional male singers from Russian Orthodox Churches, choirs and Opera Companies will be visiting the UK from Russia. In the first part of the concerts they will be singing in Ecumenical worship traditional liturgical Russian hymns including Gloria, Alleluia, Sanctus, The Lord's Prayer etc., using settings from Tchaikovsky, Bortniansky and others. The words are in Russian but the spirituality transcends laguage barriers. The second part will consist of Russian folk songs. Hermitage previously sang here in 2009 at the Eden Project.
